On every level of basketball players are severely lacking the basic fundamentals of the game. Nowadays players want more style than substance in their
individual games. From years of training hundreds of players I have seen a familiar pattern. Players work on whats comfortable to them. They dont work on developing their weak hand or learning how to shoot with proper form. Instead they focus on practicing inside of their “comfort zones”. What we do at our Crossroads clinics is eliminate that comfort zone completely. The only way to become a good basketball player is to master the fundamentals of the game. The way to do that is by constant repetition of the basics.
I believe that you have to crawl before you walk. Our goal is to make sure the players that come to clinic understand the basics first before they move on to more advanced techniques. If you are serious about getting better then this is where you need to be.
